FINE ART
My paintings bring together my appreciation for design, color, typography, sketching objects, and silhouettes. My two favorite kinds of subject matter are old metal objects and wild animals. Neither having much of a connection to the other. More specifically, I am attracted to metal objects that you can look through and that have a nostalgic feel to them, like the Ferris Wheel or the Sting Ray bicycle. My other interest in painting animals comes from my feeling of connection to them. By painting animals, I am honoring their wildness and mystery. I believe human's long lost connection to the wild is a kind of disconnection to our true being.
